Sims Refrigeration is a wholly owned division of John R. Sims & Co Pty. Ltd, and has been involved in commercial refrigeration contract installation, service and maintenance since 1967. We supply, install and maintain all manner of commercial refrigeration equipment for operators involved in Supermarkets, Hotels, Hospitals, Teaching Institutions, Nursing Homes, Schools, Sporting Clubs, Butchers, Bakehouses, Delicatessens, Service Stations, Fruit and Vegetable growers and wholesalers, and Funeral Homes. When required we are very willing to assess, consult, engineer and then tender on any project deemed suitable to us. The company has fourteen fully equipped service vehicles operating a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Service Division covering the entire state, an Engineering Division and a separate Sales Department able to give qualified advice on any of the above noted subjects. We also operate our own cabinet / case re-conditioning factory, and could inspect your existing equipment as to its suitability for re-furbishing. We also manufacture, supply and install refrigeration rack systems and as well supply and install various styles of electronic monitoring equipment. History 1966 In October, John R Sims starts to work for himself with one van, using his house in Hawthorndene being his work office, working on refrigeration in Hotels, Clubs and domestic applications. 1970 Jenny Sims starts to work from home, running the office and using a two-way radio. 1971 Wayne Herbert is the first apprentice to work for John R Sims. 1973 John R Sims & Co PTY LTD is registered as a company. 1980 Sims Refrigeration has moved out of the house in Hawthorndene to a new office at 190 Main Road Blackwood. 1980 Sims Refrigeration are Frigrite Agents in South Australia and move into service, maintenance and installation in supermarkets. 1985 David Sims starts work as a apprentice. 1988 Sims Refrigeration has 15 staff members and 5 vans. 1992 Sims Refrigeration has out-grown 190 Main Road Blackwood and moves into a new building next door with a show room. 1996 Sims Refrigeration are the SA/NT Linde agents. |
